The inaugural Tom Hoad Cup (2003) was the first international water polo club event ever held in Western Australia.  Never before had international club teams competed in a Western Australian tournament. Previous editions not only confirmed its success, but guaranteed its future with increased interest from all over the water polo world.
 
The Tom Hoad Cup 2007 is set to be bigger and better than ever with the a 5 team tournament and will feature some of the strongest club teams and emerging national teams from around the world. The teams confirmed for this year will come from Serbia, Romania, China, and -for the first time- two teams from Australia.
 
The Tom Hoad Cup is much more than an international Water Polo tournament. While it is true that this carnival will feature the some of the finest international teams, the Tom Hoad Cup will be a celebration combining competition with culture, art, music, entertainment and food in a welcoming and cosmopolitan atmosphere of fun and friendliness.
